          SUMS(K)RHYTHM is a very differently conceived Pure Percussion based Concert, which involves  a Galaxy of  Indian Traditional Percussion Instruments like the Mridhangam, Kanjira, Ghatam, Konnakol, Morsing, Tabla and other Divine Ethnic instruments like Conch, Udukkai, Jalra, Ghata Singari, Salangai etc added with World Percussions like Djembe, Cajon, Frame Drum, Mallets and other accessories.

          SUMS(K)RHYTHM is based on Classical South Indian Rhythm, Indian Spiritual Values and Cultural Concepts involving Numbers and Planets, Gems from our Literary treasures in both Sumskrutham and Tamizh like the Vedas, Agamas, Bheejaksharas, Sutras, Siddhar Paadals, Tiruppugazh Sandams, Slokas (Ganesa Pancharatanam), Stotrams (Shambhu Natanam), Sthuhtis ( Lalitha Sahasranamam and Adhi Sankara’s Devi Navaratnamalika), Namavalis, Concepts of Mysticism and Symbolism etc. In short, it will link Learning our Languages and Layam.

          SUMS(K)RHYTHM is indeed happy to have performed in IIT Chennai, Payyanur Swmaiji Ashram, Vinayaka Chaturthi Celeberations, Trivandrum Thala Mahotsavam, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Nayaki.

          SUMS(K)RHYTHM would conceive a special tribute to our Percussion Legends and Maestros, who have contributed to rhythm. SUMS(K)RHYTHM is proud to have performed at the Madras Music Academy on Jan 1st  2012, the prestigious SADAS CONCERT, as a tribute to Sangita Kalanidhi Trichy Sankaran and Mathematics Genius Sri.Ramanujam on his Centenary.

          Rhythm Legends like Sri.Vikku Vinayakram, Sri.T.H.Subash Chandran, Sri.Mayavaram Somu Pillai, Dr.T.K.Murthy, Sri.Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Sri.Trichy Sankaran, Sri. Guruvayur Dorai, Sri.Karaikudi Mani and many others have appreciated, blessed and endorsed the efforts.
